Learn ChiRunning and ChiWalking workshop

A six hour practical group class or four hour individual one to one class:  Participate and learn all there is to know about ChiRunning or ChiWalking. Its fun, light hearted and interesting. Learn how to run energy efficient, injury free and with less effort for the same or faster pace.

ChiRunning and ChiWalking classes and runs / walks

One to one classes where individual and dedicated personal attention is the key to your success! Focuses are worked upon and you’ll come away with a real feeling of how to successfully apply ChiRunning or ChiWalking to the best of your ability. Beginner ChiRunners have come away from these one to one sessions with a complete understanding and mastering of the ChiRunning concept

Sports Performance Testing

Sports Performance Vo2 max test: Find out your exact Vo2 max and Lactate Threshold (L.T). Vo2 max testing measures the actual amount of oxygen that your body takes in and actually uses, in the blood/oxygen exchange. Basically, the more oxygen that your blood transports to your muscle cells, the better you can perform. 

Your Vo2 max is genetically (and normally proportionally) determined. However, with the correct and accurate data, this Vo2 max level can be improved by correct training in certain effort, heart rate or power zones. A VO2 test will also show the L.T.  Briefly, the L.T is the level of exercise intensity of which beyond, the body can no longer provide adequate oxygen to the muscles. At this point the blood lactate is no longer buffered sufficiently. Knowing your unique L.T is valuable information as L.T is very trainable. In following correct and dedicated training, your body can develop a higher threshold for the Lactate build up.  

The test will provide all of the data that is vital to training smarter and efficiently. In addition, a Cardio Coach test will also measure how many calories are burned during a workout at every exercise heart rate level. Necessary information to have in order to pre-plan your nutrition intake during training and racing! (At the conclusion of the testing, you’ll have a full written report of your results, with heart rate zones established from your L.T)

Metabolism analysis

Vital and accurate analysis from the professionally approved and calibrated Korr© metabolic indirect calorimeter. No charts, no skin pinching, no gimmicks.
 
This test is based on the amount and concentration of gasses you exhale during the test. This is analyzed by the unit to determine your rate of caloric resting expenditure as well as your rate of metabolism.  The analysis will indicate the amount of calories you burn, allowing to plan your requirements in calories during the different periodization of training and racing, as well as off season. An explained printed out report will be yours at the end of the analysis, with all your questions answered. You’ll also receive advice concerning the correct amount of calories in Carbohydrates, Protein and essential fats that you need to train and race with success. Essential & precise information for serious and successful training and racing nutrition planning.

Allow 40 minutes.

Individual coaching

Coach J-R is a specialist in personal and custom made quality annual training plans, periodized training schedules and nutritional advice for runners, cyclists and triathletes, as well as individual one to one sessions. Athletes embarking upon his individual coaching have become stronger, faster and have gained in experience in a very short time.

All types of different plans, programs and mini training camps are available. This is not training plans off the internet or magazines. Each plan, program and schedule as well as coaching session is unique, ensuring the highest quality and results. Open to athletes, from Elites, to Age groupers to beginners and newbies of all levels of ability and experience.
